TMU Hosts Cross-Fit Coach Training Course


The first cross-fit coaching training course with 65 female and male volunteers from 40 Iranian universities, hosted by Tarbiat Modarres University, is scheduled to take place on June 23rd in two parts: theoretical and practical.

Dr. Alizade, general director of physical education at the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology at the opening ceremony of the event said: “the main goal of this training course is to familiarize the participants with this discipline. After the end of this course, these people will be in charge of health clubs to develop cross-fit courses at their respective university campus.”

He further referred to the development of sports field, especially new and popular courses in universities, as the main priority of the Department of Physical Education of the Ministry of Science and announced that in order to accomplish this principal task, agreements with sports federations have been concluded.

It is worth stating that the first cross-fit training course started from June, 24th and continues until June, 28th.

Cross-fit is an athletic program developed to train and practice the entire body, and combines aerobic exercises, weight training, gymnastics, endurance training and other types to prepare the body for unexpected conditions.

On cross-fit website it reads, cross-fit is a decent and powerful program for police academies, operational teams, strike forces, martial art champions, and thousands of other elite and professional athletes around the world.

This hard exercise has a lot of practice variations, and each exercise usually lasts from 45 minutes to one hour.
