Dr. Fatollahi, the vice chancellor for research, who was speaking in a session held for the initiation of newly-recruited faculty members, said that TMU intends to set up an Innovation Center in October this year.

He added: "Tarbiat Modares University has taken measures to complete an ecosystem of creativity and innovation and provide the necessary infrastructure for moving from the second generation (Research-Driven University) to the third and fourth generation (entrepreneurial and community-based universities).

Dr. Fatollahi continued: "The first step in this direction, which is being supported by Mellat Bank at the University, is the completion, mobilization and inauguration of the Innovation Center. We hope this center will lead to the economic excellence of society and social development in the future by making use of the great potentials of faculty members and other extant facilities.
